I manually need to flash the new initramfs initrd.img-3.2.-4-kirkwood and kernel vmlinuz via mkimage, which works fine. The (anoying) issue: everytime I run apt-get upgrade the system is showing up those unfinished packages. How can I tell my system that everything is fine? As you can see in the above picture, the command-line " sudo apt-get install " in question contains the command named "apt-get" ,the sub-command named " install " and the argument named " gedit ". We have not used any options in this command line. The term sudo stands for " super-user do ". First of all, we need to update our package index. These commands don't update any installed package, they just download the latest information about the packages that can be installed or upgraded. In YUM it's: yum check-update. In APT, instead, it's simply: apt update apt-get update. After the repository is added, install the Microsoft Build of OpenJDK by running the following commands: Bash. sudo apt-get install apt-transport-https sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install msopenjdk-17. Note. You may have to update your default JDK selection, see here for details. ubuntu auto shutdown. ubuntu install snap. ubunt xrog restart. restart x command line. ubuntu update packages. sudo apt-get upgrade auto yes. snap opera has install-snap change in progress. snap vlc has install-snap change in progress. install kvm ubuntu 20.04. DESCRIPTION. apt provides a high-level commandline interface for the package management system. It is intended as an end user interface and enables some options better suited for interactive usage by default compared to more specialized APT tools like apt-get (8) and apt-cache (8). Much like apt itself, its manpage is intended as an end user First, you need to capture the output, by adding stdout=subprocess.PIPE to your Popen. Then, instead of calling communicate, you store the Popen in a variable, say, p. Then you can read from p.stdout, parse the responses, and respond appropriately to each prompt by writing to p.stdin. And then p.wait () at the end. Configuration Item: APT::Get::Download-Only. -f, --fix-broken Fix; attempt to correct a system with broken dependencies in place. This option, when used with install/remove, can omit any packages to permit APT to deduce a likely solution. If packages are specified, these have to completely correct the problem. Use the -y option to apt-get to have it not ask. From man apt-get: -y, --yes, --assume-yes Automatic yes to prompts; assume "yes" as answer to all prompts and run non-interactively. Apt install with ansible. Ask Question Asked 7 years, 3 months ago.
