Homelink mirror installation instructions

The install is easy and straightforward, here is a copy of the instructions.I had one in my Outback and miss it, gonna order one for the STi eventually. I had to gut the front interior of my Outback to install the OEM interior illumination kit (instructions), it took 3 hours total and I was slow and careful.I have every confidence that installing the mirror is a cake walk, probably 15-20 The mirror has power and you can read the compass and temperature. The auto dimming feature works and the led indicator is solid green. When you press any of the 3 homelink buttons the led remains solid green instead of flashing red. If you turn off the auto dimming feature you will see a VERY VERY faint led flashing. Homelink Mirror. Step 1 - Remove both the passenger and driver side a-pillar panels. Start by pulling back the weather strip to easier remove the a-pillar panel. Step 2 - Remove the glove box. You will need to remove the glove box to gain access to the fuse box. Step 3 - Remove the stock mirror. Frameless HomeLink Mirror is battery-operated and helps provide easy entry and exit to your garage. HomeLink buttons are located under the mirror on the driver's side; Frameless mirror design complements the vehicle's interior; Item is HaZmat. TYPE: Without EC Using a small 1/8" (4 mm) flat-blade screwdriver, insert the flat end into the opening at the bottom of the mirror mount at the windshield. Slide the screwdriver into the center of the mirror mount until resistance is felt. Gently apply a small amount of additional upward force to lift away locking spring in the mount.
