How is everything with you, I picked interest on you after going through your short profile and deemed it necessary to write you immediately. I have something very vital to disclose to you, but I found it difficult to express myself here, since it's a public site.Could you please get back to me on:(sophiereyer1@yahoo.com) for the full details.
Erin,
I've added a little worksheet called "The Go/No Go Test" to the library downloads page on the website. If you go through that, it will give you a good idea of whether or not a golf tournament is for your organization.
Erin,
You'll find the book (if I may be excused for plugging it) to be very realistic about who should and should not do a golf tournament. My editor and I went round and round about it. He didn't like that I spent so much time on deciding whether a golf tournament was right for you. In the end he gave a little and let me ask some of the hard questions everyone should ask.
That said, I've surveyed my readers and even the experienced pros doubled their take after reading my book. I've been offering follow up for them by e-mail. This website is an attempt to make the followup process a little easier and more useful for everyone. If we get enough golf regulars on here, we'll see a lot of cross-pollination happen. Good luck with your tournament. If you have any questions, post them on the forum and I'll see if I can get you an answer.
Hello, Erin,
Glad that you found us here. Charity Golf Network is just tooling up and you're the first new member. Welcome. I'm hoping to develop this into a serious network for folks working with charity golf tournaments. I'd love to know a bit about your background and what you're hoping to find on this website. It will greatly help as we add features to the site. In the meantime, I'm here to answer questions or help you use this website to help your group organize your tournament. I'm the author of "Going for the Green: An Insider's Guide to Making Money With Charity Golf". Let me know if there's anything I can do for you. I'm starting to monitor the forums. I have a couple of groups that are interested in coming on board to talk about their troubles in organizing golf tournaments. Stand by for our launch. It'll probably get pretty busy here (I hope).
