The Mustang GT has been the iconic pony car for decades. With a powerful V8 engine and deep, throaty grumble, the 2014 Mustang GT is nothing to laugh about. Boasting a beastly 420 horsepower and 390 lb/ft of torque, you're off the line and to 60 mph in a mere 4.3 seconds. And with the upgraded Track Package including stickier Pirelli tires Jul 5, 2014 #6 On street tires, the manual *might* have a slight advantage because of the launch control. On stickies, the auto will be faster. Regardless they are going to be very close in street trim, and I definitely would not use 0-60 time to decide which transmission you want. Get the one you will ENJOY driving the most.

I had a 1997 Mustang Cobra: 305 hp @ 5800 300 lb-ft @ 4800 5.7 or so to 60 The 2014 Mustang V6: 300 hp @ 6500 280 lb-ft @ 4250 5.8 to 60 Not slow by any means. For both you have to work them to get them to move. I wonder if gearing would help? It was common back in the day to swap in a set of 4.10's to wake up the Mustang. R RF Overlord Joined
